Hermes's Den

The Stag’s Path is part of my journey through and from retail, a field guide made as I navigated the landscape. Discussing styling and fashion in this way is something I’ve considered to always be for other people, but through my current job, I’ve come to incorporate it into the forefront of my daily life, unconsciously or otherwise. Work aside, I was listening to the audiobook of The Golden Thread: How Fabric Changed History by Kassia St. Clair some time ago and was struck by the introduction making explicit how integral fabric is to our humans experience, realizing that I will likely continue to spend my life wrapped in cloth.

This project was also a much needed creative outlet that drew on many forgotten years of reading magazines. It was challenging, and stretched me in different ways, but ultimately was fun.
